Why blockout in a honeycomb
A blockout roller blind darkens a room. A light-filtering honeycomb blind helps insulate it. A blockout honeycomb does both at once, which suits the rooms where both problems turn up together — the west-facing bedroom that is bright and hot on summer evenings, or a nursery where day sleeps need darkness and a steady temperature.
How dark it gets
Blockout fabric stops light passing through the blind itself. Like any blind, a little light can still come around the edges depending on the window and how it is fitted. The pleated structure also means the blind sits neatly in the window, and we measure and fit it ourselves to keep the gaps small.
Cordless for nurseries
For children’s rooms, cordless honeycomb options mean no cords hanging near the cot — you raise and lower the blind by the bottom rail. Motorisation is available on applicable systems if the window is hard to reach.
