Why two blinds on one window
A single roller blind makes you choose. Blockout gives you a dark room and no daylight; light-filtering gives you daylight and no privacy once the lights are on at night. A dual blind fits both, so you get soft light and privacy by day and a dark, private room at night.
It is the most common answer we give for main bedrooms, and for living rooms where the window faces the street.
How it works
The two rollers are fitted together on the one window, one in front of the other. Each has its own control, so you can lower the light-filtering blind in the morning, add the blockout at night, or have both up.
We choose which fabric goes in front based on the window and how you use the room, and choose colours that sit well together when both are down.
Motorised dual blinds
Two blinds per window means twice the chains. Motorisation is available across many dual roller ranges, which tidies that up — a remote, a timer or an app, depending on the system. We will confirm what is possible for the fabrics you choose.

Common questions
What is a dual roller blind?
Two roller blinds fitted together on one window — usually a light-filtering fabric for daytime and a blockout for night — each with its own control.
Is a double roller blind the same as a dual blind?
Yes. Dual, double and day/night roller blinds all describe the same idea.
Can both blinds be down at once?
Yes. Each blind works independently, so you can use either, both or neither.
Can dual blinds be motorised?
Motorisation is available across many dual roller ranges. We will confirm the options for the system you choose.
