Soft fabric, neat folds

Roman blinds

A fabric blind that folds up into soft, even pleats. Roman blinds bring the warmth and texture of a curtain to the window with the tidiness of a blind, and suit bedrooms, dining rooms and anywhere a room needs softening.

Why a roman blind

Roman blinds are the softest-looking blind we fit. When raised, the fabric gathers into neat folds at the top of the window; when lowered, it hangs flat as a single panel. That makes them a good choice where a roller blind feels too plain and curtains feel like too much.

Fabric and light

The fabric decides both the look and the light. Sheer and light-filtering fabrics soften the daylight; blockout fabrics or linings darken a bedroom, depending on the range. Because the blind is made from fabric, there is a wide choice of colours and textures — linens, weaves and plains.

Crisp or relaxed

A classic roman blind folds into crisp, flat pleats. A relaxed roman lets the fabric fall into a gentle curve at the bottom for a softer, more casual look. We will show you both at the measure.

Common questions

Can roman blinds be blockout?

Yes, with a blockout fabric or lining, depending on the range.

What is a relaxed roman blind?

A roman blind whose bottom edge falls into a soft curve rather than a straight fold, for a more casual look.

Roman blinds or roller blinds?

Romans are softer and more decorative; rollers are simpler and roll up nearly out of sight. It often comes down to the room and the look you want.

Do you make roman blinds to measure?

Yes — measured and installed by our own team, like all our blinds.
