Where the neighbours, the footpath and the sun are decides how you will set the blind. We plan around that.

How it works
A standard blind has one moving rail at the bottom. A top-down/bottom-up blind has two — one at the top and one at the bottom — so the fabric can sit anywhere in the window. Pull the top rail down and the upper part of the window opens; push the bottom rail up and it works like an ordinary blind; or leave a band of fabric across the middle.
Privacy and light at the same time
Most privacy problems sit at eye level: the house next door, the footpath, the neighbour’s deck. Most daylight comes from higher up. Top-down/bottom-up lets you cover the first and keep the second, so a bathroom or a street-facing bedroom does not have to sit in the dark all day.
Open the window behind the gap at the top and you get a breeze through as well, with the lower part of the room still screened.
Where we use it
Bathrooms and ensuites where frosted glass is not an option, bedrooms close to the neighbours, living rooms that face the street, and any window where you would otherwise keep the blind down all day. It is available on suitable honeycomb products, and we will confirm which ranges offer it for your windows.

Common questions
What is a top-down bottom-up blind?
A blind with a moving rail at both the top and the bottom, so it can be opened from either end — letting light in at the top while the lower part of the window stays covered.
Are top-down bottom-up blinds good for bathrooms?
They are one of the best options where you want daylight without a view in. Cover the lower part and open the top for light and air.
Can every honeycomb blind open top-down?
It is available on suitable products. We confirm which ranges offer it for your windows.
Can top-down bottom-up blinds be cordless?
Cordless options are available on some ranges. We will tell you what the product we quote offers.
